Founded by a team of working parents, Acorn Playhouse features a space that’s designed with busy families in mind. From a co-working space and café to cooking and music classrooms, they have everything parents need for a safe and nurturing work-play environment. Their sensory room is perfect for kids aged 0 to 2 years and they also offer Mighty Oaks’ signature playgroup classes for infants and toddlers aged 6 to 24 months. For older kids, the playhouse provides enrichment programs for 2 to 6 years, ensuring that the needs of every child of varying ages are catered to.

Mighty Oaks’ Signature Playgroup Classes

At Acorn Playgroup, their experienced educators provide young learners with nurturing environments that spark curiosity, cultivate confidence and nurture each child’s unique abilities. Their goal is to instill in each child the joy of learning that will last a lifetime through creative play, sensory experiences, and hands-on exploration. They focus on the whole child, fostering cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development from 6 months through 2 years of age.

Baby Acorn Program (6 – 15 months)
The Baby Acorn program provides a loving and stimulating environment for pre-walkers and young walkers that strengthens the bonds between baby and caregiver. Its child-centered curriculum gives infants the chance to develop key developmental milestones through socialization, sensory exploration, and personalized attention from experienced teachers. The focus is on cognitive and motor skill development, language exposure, social skills, and self-expression through carefully designed activities and a ratio of 1 teacher for every 4 infants.

Growing Acorn Program (12 – 24 months)
As toddlers become increasingly mobile, curious, and vocal, the Growing Acorn program builds a strong foundation for character growth, self-expression, and early learning. Its curriculum emphasizes memory, attention span, motor skills, independence, language acquisition, and social-emotional skills through age-appropriate songs, activities, play-based lessons, and open-ended exploration. With a ratio of 1 teacher for every 8 toddlers, the educators recognize each child’s interests and capabilities, providing customized guidance and stimulation to nourish their budding development and innate joy of learning.

Enrichment Programs

Acorn Playhouse also offers unique educational programs that are hand-selected for your child’s growth and development. Their in-house cooking program teaches children about food and nutrition while the Tang Dynasty Poetry Music and Dance program promotes Chinese culture and language. The Be-a-Doctor workshop series teaches children about the wonders of medicine and the human body.

Our Little Steps’ Mommy and toddler scouts had the privilege to check out the playhouse. They found the location of the playroom convenient with easy access from the Wong Chuk MTR as well as bus routes, and there’s also a car park in the same building. Upon arrival, they were met with the friendly team of Acorn Playroom. Mom said, “The playroom feels airy and bright! The play space is also thoughtfully designed with little ones in mind. Not only that, there are different play zones ranging from jungle gyms to play kitchens as well as a quiet reading zone. For parents, the space is also equipped with private working spaces and also a café to grab a snack while keeping an eye on your kids.“
