Hey, jazz lovers! Hong Kong has a brand new, all jazz, two-day festival coming up, and it’s going to be fantastic. This new annual event will be a dynamic platform for the festival-goers to be inspired. There will be ticketed and free events as well as a lineup that consists of local and international artists.
Some of the international talent you may recognize includes the Grammy Award-winning Robert Glasper Trio, UK’s GoGo Penguin and the Smithsonian Jazz Masterworks Orchestra featuring Hubert Laws and House of Waters. Representing Hong Kong will be artists including Eugene Pao, Ted Lo, Angelita Li, Alan Kwan, and Tjoe Man-Cheung.
This is a great event for the whole family. There will be activities for the kids as well! You can look forward to Jazz for Kids, film screenings, meet the artist’s sessions, jazz workshops, jam sessions for professional musicians, jazz photography exhibition, and a weekend market that will host handicraft booths and art stalls. The Hong Kong Ballet will also be making an appearance with jazz-infused dance performances from The Great Gatsby and a wonderful jazz score.
What: Two days of jazz activities. There’s something for everyone!
When: November 9 from 10:30am to 8pm and November 10 from 11am to 7pm!
