New Family-Friendly Beachside Breaks In Asia To Visit Now

Beachy Fun

New Beachside Destinations Asia

Escape the concrete jungle and get truly back to nature with a stay that’s located within toe-touching distance from the sand. Here, Lightfoot Travel reveal some of their favorite beachside breaks – perfect for families to get away in style.

  • Constance Le Prince Maurice, Mauritius

The calm and discreet Constance Le Prince Maurice is the boss of the beach on the secluded northeast coast of Mauritius. Spacious and stylish family villas take centre stage with their own personal stretch of sand and a heated pool. Paddleboarding and waterskiing are available and there’s also a kids’ club (ages 4 – 11) with a packed schedule of activities including cookery classes and arts and crafts. Three hotels and bars, a championship golf course and a luxurious spa will keep parents content, that is if you can peel yourselves away from your front row seat with views of nothing but swaying palm trees, calm seas and smiling faces.

  • Villa Suriyawatta, Sri Lanka

Forgot to pack your shoes? No matter. You won’t really need them when your family makes the beautiful Villa Suriyawatta your home. Perched on the southern coast of Sri Lanka, all you have to do is roll out of bed each morning and follow the cascading lawns of your private garden down to the pristine shore. When it all gets too sandy, spend your time relaxing by the private villa’s pool or on the verandah. Inside, there are 5- bedrooms, the sitting room is furnished with squashy sofas, the kitchen comes complete with an experienced chef, and the helpful staff are more than happy to look after your little ones should you wish to sip cocktails in peace.

  • Verdura Resort, Sicily

The Verdura Resort is the star-attraction nestled in a valley of olive groves on the stunning Mediterranean coastline in southwest Sicily. Along with swish rooms, a 60- metre infinity pool, six clay tennis courts and a world-class spa, this Rocco Forte property also has access to its own private beach. Here, the watersports club will keep you busy with wakeboarding, windsurfing or banana boating, and when you’re tired your children can keep on going at the kids’ club (ages 4 – 12). Meanwhile, you can replenish your flagging energy levels at one of the five bars and four restaurants; we recommend fresh seafood and at the beachfront restaurant Amare, best served with sweeping ocean views.

  • One & Only Reethi Rah, Maldives

You can’t feel blissed out on the beach at One & Only Reethi Rah as this all-villa resort fills up its own paradise island in the Maldives. Super family-friendly, the Duplex Beach Villas come with plenty of baby-friendly facilities including cots, playpens and sterilisers, and all-important babysitters are on hand when you want some me-time. Older children are kept out of trouble with an array of activities including tennis and swimming lessons, sushi-making and learning to be a lifeguard. There’s also a kids’ club (from four years old) with its own pool and a dedicated area for older children (to hang out without you cramping their style). In fact, with so much on offer, there’s a chance that you might not even see your children while you’re there…

  • COMO Uma Canggu

Flip flops on? The sound of rolling waves in the distance? Panoramic views of idyllic white sand? Welcome to COMO Uma Canggu, the latest offering from the COMO group that ticks all the right boxes for a luxurious family escape. Yes, you’ll be treated to exceptionally stylish rooms, nutritious cuisine and unbeatable treatments at the famous Shambhala Retreat; but this Bali also makes the most of its beachfront location by offering some incredible activities. Best of all is the Surf School which teaches guests of all abilities how to catch the waves while still maintaining cool. For those with little kids in tow, babysitting services are available and kids’ activities are on offer along with a general play area and playroom.

  • Rosewood Phuket, Thailand

If your family love the beach but need a little extra something to keep boredom at bay then the new Rosewood Phuket is the perfect option. Proudly overlooking Phuket’s Emerald Bay, this latest must-stay boasts villas furnished with private garden terraces and fancy infinity pools that welcome bigger broods. Kids will love being right by the seaside, practising some moves in a Muay Thai class or trying their hand at traditional kite-making at the kids’ club. There are also four different dining venues to try out and a spa that goes above and beyond with alternative therapies, soothing rituals and lifestyle coaching.
