Celebrating the relaxing tunes of Jazz from breezy Brazilian jazz to experimental jazz, well-loved standards to original compositions, Jazz in July returns with daily performances at Esplanade this month. Featuring a diversity of performances and expressions from over 40 Singapore-based bands, these sessions are free for all!
There’s something for all ages—experience evocative tributes to jazz legends like Herbie Hancock, Betty Carter, Bill Evans and George Gershwin or explore jazz with your young ones with Dawn Wong’s Jazz for Kids: Hello Humpty.
Date Night Fridays: Join the likes of Alemay Fernandez, Richard Jackson, Daniela Ruggieri, Andayoma, and Anne Weerapass as they fill the air with love through their vocal prowess at the Outdoor Theatre.
Piano 1 to 3: Playing an important role in almost every jazz band, the piano takes the spotlight every Saturday at the Concourse, featuring jazz pianists Aya Sekine, Tan Weixiang, Sharik Hasan, Alina Ramirez, and Duncan McKee performing solo as well as with their trios.
Smooth Jazz Sundays: Immerse yourself in easy-listening jazz at the Outdoor Theatre with Fabian Lim, Daniel Chia, Dapur Smooth Jazz Trio, and East Street Groove—a perfect way to relax and recharge before the start of the week.
For those unable to make a trip down to Esplanade, performances from the Concourse will be live-streamed daily on Esplanade Offstage. Videos of each performance will be available for viewing on the same platform until the next live stream.
