The tale of Peter Pan is fantastic on screen, in books, in plays, and of course in ballet. This summer, the Hong Kong Ballet is retelling J.M Barrie’s classic story of cheeky pirates, wondrous princesses, and magic in Neverland. There will be intricately beautiful new costumes designed for this show, as well as energetic choreography that will enrapture the audience.
Fans of other dance styles will be excited to know that the classical ballet will be incorporated with a hip hop set to pair with the original score created by Carmon DeLeon and performed live by the celebrated Hong Kong Sinfonietta. This show is hilarious and great for the kids!
Tickets for the show are priced differently by venue and can be purchased here. Tickets at the Grand Theatre are priced at HK$1,000, HK$680, HK$280 and HK$140. TIckets at the Sha Tin Town Hall are priced at HK$320, HK$220 and HK$120. Grand Theatre shows feature live accompaniment and Sha Tin Town Hall shows are performed to recorded music.
Accompanying the show itself will be several programs curated for kids. Here are some of the highlights:
