Buckle up, motorsport fans—Malaysia is building a world-class circuit in the heart of Johor! Slated for completion by the end of 2025, Sunway Circuit Iskandar Puteri is on track to become a major hub for racing, automotive experiences, and international sporting events. Just a quick drive from Singapore via the Second Link and near Senai International Airport, this new landmark is poised to redefine the motorsport scene in Southeast Asia.
Stretching 4.5 kilometres, the main track is the brainchild of Hermann Tilke—the world-renowned designer behind some of the biggest Formula 1 circuits including Malaysia’s Sepang and Texas’ Circuit of the Americas. Expect dramatic curves, challenging corners, and a fluid layout that promises high-octane excitement for drivers and spectators alike.
The Sunway Circuit will be a playground for all kinds of motorsport lovers—not just professionals. Planned features include:
A 1.5-kilometre pro karting track
A hill climb course for speed junkies
A dedicated 4×4 off-road park
An advanced driving zone for safety and performance training
Modern pit buildings, paddocks, garages, media centres, and VIP suites
Whether you’re here to race, watch, or learn, it’s shaping up to be a full-throttle experience.
Sunway Circuit is part of the larger Sunway City Iskandar Puteri masterplan—a vibrant development blending leisure, tourism, and community. Located just 10 minutes from Singapore, this is set to become a favourite weekend getaway for motorsport fans, families, and thrill-seekers alike.
Recent drone and on-site updates reveal major construction progress, including paved racetrack sections, built-up facilities, and beautifully integrated water features for safety and aesthetics.
It’s not just for petrolheads! Sunway Circuit is being designed as a family-friendly lifestyle venue with plenty of spectator spaces, learning zones, and experiential attractions. Plus, its close proximity to Singapore makes it an easy day trip for motorsport-curious kids, teens, and grown-ups.
Car-obsessed teens, karting enthusiasts, adrenaline-fueled families, and anyone who loves the thrill of motorsport. It’s also ideal for corporate training, team bonding, or school outings tied to STEM and driving safety.
When completed, Sunway Circuit will complement Sepang as Malaysia’s top racetrack, but with a stronger focus on tourism and everyday accessibility. And with F1-grade design plus eco-conscious integration, it could become one of the most photogenic circuits in the region.
Keep an eye on launch updates as the track approaches completion in late 2025—it’s revving up to be one of the region’s most exciting new attractions!
