Deliveroo To Exit Hong Kong In April 2025

Food Delivery Platform To Cease Operations Soon

Deliveroo To Exit Hong Kong In April 2025

Food delivery platform Deliveroo has announced it will end operations in Hong Kong by April 2025, concluding its nine-year presence in the city. The platform will remain active until April 7, allowing customers to place orders during its final weeks. Deliveroo attributed its decision to challenges unique to the Hong Kong market and a focus on efficient capital allocation. As part of the exit, certain assets will be sold to competitor Foodpanda, while others will be liquidated.

With Deliveroo’s departure, Hong Kong residents have several reliable food delivery options to consider:

  1. Foodpanda: Foodpanda, which has partnered with Deliveroo, ensures customers can continue ordering from their favorite restaurants and grocery stores. To ease the transition, Foodpanda is offering HK$150 off orders with the promo code PANDADEAL until May 31, 2025. New users can also enjoy 50% off their first order over HK$80.
  2. KeeTa: Launched by Meituan, KeeTa has quickly become Hong Kong’s largest food delivery service by order volume. With competitive pricing and a wide selection of restaurants, it’s a strong alternative for those seeking variety and affordability.
