A brand-new free outdoor playground is opening in the New Territories, and it’s perfect for families looking for fun and adventure. “The Wonderful Town of Play”, Hong Kong’s first wetland-themed playground, launches at T Town in Tin Shui Wai on December 21, 2025. Spanning an impressive 32,000 square feet, this vibrant play space offers a nature-inspired experience for kids aged 3 to 12.

Playground Highlights:

  • Towering Play Structures:
    • 6-metre-tall BulBul Bird Tower: Climb to the top and swoop down the slides like the red-whiskered bulbul.
    • 5-metre-tall Spoonbill Vertical Climber: Conquer mid-air obstacles with BillBill the black-faced spoonbill.
  • Nature-Inspired Zones:
    • Mangroves Adventure: Explore the Civet Moonwalker, Bouncing Tree Frog, Bat Spinner, and Swinging Wings.
    • Mudskipper Zone: Tackle the Mudskipper Jump and Balance Bike Zone.
    • Crab-Themed Fun: Test your balance on the Crabwalk Beam and bounce through Crabby Hops.
  • Dynamic Play Equipment: A total of seven zones and nine imaginative playsets inspired by wetland creatures and ecosystems.
How to get there
  • By MTR + Light Rail / bus
    • Take the Tuen Ma Line to Tin Shui Wai Station, then follow signs or take the Light Rail towards the T Town area.
    • Various bus and Light Rail routes serve Tin Shui Wai; alight near T Town / Tin Shui Wai Town Centre and follow local signage up to the North Rooftop Garden.
  • By car / taxi
    • Drive or take a taxi to T Town, Tin Shui Wai in the New Territories and use the on-site or nearby car parks (where available), then head up to the North Rooftop Garden level for the playground.
