Get ready, Sai Ying Pun! A brand-new family-friendly park and outdoor playground has opened its doors to the public! Managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), this vibrant public space is free for everyone to enjoy and is located at Eastern Street North. Plus, it has water and sand play areas!

Spanning approximately 1.32 hectares, the park serves as a key connection between the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park and the Central and Western District Promenade (Western Wholesale Food Market Section).

Fun for All Ages and Abilities

The park has been thoughtfully designed to offer a wide variety of recreational facilities, ensuring fun and inclusivity for everyone. Highlights include:

  • Observation Deck: Perfect for taking in the stunning harbour views.
  • A Sea of Clouds: This large-scale inflatable attraction lets kids bounce and play on a whimsical “cloudy puff.” Each session is limited to 10 minutes, with up to 20 kids allowed at a time.
    • Opening Hours:
      • Monday to Friday: 11:00 am – 8:00 pm
      • Weekends and Public Holidays: 10:00 am – 9:00 pm
    • Cleaning and Maintenance Breaks: Daily from 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm and 5:00 pm – 5:45 pm.
    • The Sea of Clouds operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no prebooking option. Be prepared to wait around 30 minutes, depending on the time of day.
  • Water and Sand Play Areas: A first-ever feature on the Victoria Harbourfront, these spaces promise hours of sensory fun for kids.
  • Outdoor Fitness Area: Stay active with fitness equipment for all ages.
  • Large Accessible Roundabout: Designed with an inclusive pathway, this roundabout allows wheelchair users to join the fun seamlessly.
  • Unique Seating Areas: Relax in the creatively designed seating areas, including the water pipe sitting-out area.

While the park is open 24 hours a day, some facilities, such as the water play, sand play, and inflatable play equipment, will have designated operating hours to ensure safety and maintenance.

How To Get To The Sai Ying Pun Waterfront Park 

Visiting the park couldn’t be easier! Choose from a variety of convenient transport options:

  1. MTR: A short walk from Exit A2 of Sai Ying Pun Station.
  2. Tram: Alight at the Eastern Street tram stop.
  3. Bus and Minibus: Multiple routes serve the area for added convenience.
  4. Private car or taxi: alight at Eastern Street North, right next to Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park. There is a limited number of parking spaces available there.
