The opening of the Mount Kelly ‘Child Development’ Playgroups means their seamless transition in education now begins at 6 months of age.

At the Mount Kelly ‘Child Development’ Playgroup Centre your children will thrive in a stimulating environment where children are encouraged to be active and engaged. Children are immersed in a social setting that builds confidence whilst promoting healthy development and pure enjoyment. The resident Playgroup Leader, a Paediatric Specialist in Occupational Therapy (OT), guides their programme to ensure that crucial child developmental milestones are met and assessed as your child grows.

Occupational Therapy can help children improve their cognitive, physical, sensory and motor skills and enhance their self-esteem and preparation for entering school. The Playgroups also offer the opportunity to develop their pre-numeracy skills and language skills through questioning, predicting, imagining and wondering.

Classes are available for infants and toddlers aged 6 months to 36 months including a Pre-Nursery unaccompanied classes. Children entering Nursery and Reception at the Mount Kelly International Preschool are guaranteed entry into Year 1 at Mount Kelly School, Hong Kong.
