A Fun, Family-Friendly Padel Adventure in Hong Kong

Little Steps recently visited the Hong Kong Padel Club at GO PARK Sai Sha for a game of padel!  This premier padel facility, part of the stunning Zaha Hadid-designed GO PARK Sai Sha complex, offers a welcoming introduction to the fast-growing sport of padel—a perfect blend of tennis and squash played on enclosed glass-walled courts. It’s inclusive, low-impact, and ideal for beginners and families, making it a fantastic outing to get everyone moving and smiling.

Hong Kong Padel Club at GO PARK Sai Sha boasts five padel courts surrounded by glass walls and metal fences, providing clear visibility and a safe sports environment.  There are large grassy areas for spectators to lounge around in and comfy chairs, too!  Check out what Shea Stanley, Founder of Little Steps, and her padel crew thought of the experience below!

  • What is Padel?  Padel is a very popular sport in the US and Europe, described as a hybrid of tennis and squash. The court is smaller than a tennis court, with walls and fences that are an integral part of the game. Players can use squash-style techniques to bounce the ball off the walls or employ regular tennis strokes, while the courts feature additional glass panels along the perimeter that allow for creative bounces and strategic play. Padel combines the best of both sports and requires low physical exertion, so even beginners can pick it up quickly. It’s a huge hit with players of all ages and skill levels!
  • What’s the commitment to join?  You can book an hour slot (Shea and crew did this!) or join The Padel Club, where you can get mega discounts and perks for regular playing.  More information below!
  • What about padels and balls?  You can rent them on site!  Or, bring your own.

Shea's Review:  Shea and her crew booked via the app a one-hour padel where they took over the court and played ball!  Parking was super easy, and the walk to the court was only 5 minutes.  She rented the padels and balls at the entrance, but you can also bring your own!  Go Sha Padel Courts offer comfortable lounge chairs for relaxing between games, plus clean facilities and nearby rest areas.
