While parents have control over contacts, groups, and other settings, they cannot access the content of their child’s chats. All conversations are protected by end-to-end encryption, ensuring only the child and their chosen contacts can see or hear them.

Parents can easily set up these accounts with just a few steps:
- Use the phone purchased for your child and your own device side by side.
- Link the child’s account to yours through WhatsApp’s setup process.
- Set privacy controls and create a parent PIN to manage the account securely.
