Tai Kwun’s Circus Plays 2025 is back to elevate Hong Kong’s festive calendar with a spectacular lineup of international performances and workshops from 12 December 2025 to 1 January 2026. A stunning showcase of artistry, humor, and boundary-pushing contemporary circus, this annual program is a free-admission event (with tickets required for selected workshops and masterclasses). Set in the beautiful outdoor courtyards of Tai Kwun, it’s the perfect family-friendly outing to celebrate the holiday season.

This year’s lineup features Asia and Hong Kong premieres, talent development programs, and workshops, fostering cross-cultural exchange and showcasing the brilliance of contemporary circus art. From large-scale acrobatic storytelling to intimate workshops, Circus Plays 2025 promises an unforgettable experience for all ages.

  • De Cuyper vs De Cuyper (Belgium, Asia Debut): Sibling rivalry turned into a juggling showdown full of humor and skill.

  • Tree, Trees, Tres (Korea, Hong Kong Debut): A poetic reflection on balance, teamwork, and our connection to nature.

  • Top Down (France, Asia Debut): An all-female acrobatic trio exploring empathy and power through breathtaking acrobatics.

  • Circus Bootcamp – Time After Time (Third Edition): Hands-on training for first-time performers, perfect for emerging talents.

  • Circus Reels – Throw to Glow: A “live reel” of short-form acts blending real-life stories and contemporary circus.

  • Master Class – Contemporary Ball Juggling with Wes Peden: Learn juggling techniques from a world-class performer.

  • The Genesis (Denmark, Asia Debut): Poetic acrobatic storytelling with a 12-person ensemble, showcasing strength and creativity.

  • Spiral Slide (USA, Hong Kong Premiere): Gravity-defying routines by world-renowned juggler Wes Peden, blending surrealism and punk-inspired movements.
