Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP) is kicking off its first-ever Chinese New Year Celebration in style to welcome the Year of the Horse! From January 30 through February, families can immerse themselves in a lineup of festive activities, including vibrant indoor and outdoor markets, live performances, and a stunning parade float exhibition. Discover all the family-friendly highlights below!
Festive Markets and Unique Finds
From February 10 to 16, the “Kai Tak Sports Park Chinese New Year Market” transforms the stunning harbourfront Dining Cove into a bustling marketplace. Featuring over 30 booths, families can shop for traditional New Year flowers, calligraphy, festive snacks, handmade crafts, and more with panoramic views of Victoria Harbour as the backdrop. Kids will love the balloon twisting and face painting, while parents can savor artisanal snacks or cocktails from specialty booths.
For an indoor experience, the Kai Tak Mall hosts themed pop-up stores and markets from February 1 to early March. Highlights include fresh flowers from the “Thank You Florist Pop-up,” festive goods at the “Figurecross 2026 CNY Market,” and delicious treats at the “AEON Chinese New Year Food Festival.” There’s even a fun collaboration with the legendary racehorse Golden Sixty at JOYPOLIS SPORTS HONG KONG, offering interactive activities for all ages.
Live Performances and Parade Floats
From February 18 to 26, KTSP will display eight dazzling floats from the “Cathay International Chinese New Year Night Parade.” Don’t miss the live performances by Chinese Mainland and international teams on February 18 and 19, which promise to captivate kids and adults alike. On February 25, families can enjoy traditional dragon and lion dance performances, as well as a festive lion parade spreading blessings throughout the park.
