HBO Max has released the official teaser for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, an eight-episode series reimagining the beloved J.K. Rowling classic, which will premiere on Christmas 2026!
This magical journey will be available to stream exclusively on HBO Max in various markets, including Hong Kong. Locals will soon be able to immerse themselves in the wizarding world via the platform’s recent launch in the Asia Pacific region.
The series introduces Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, alongside an all-star cast including John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore and Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall. It follows Harry’s extraordinary journey as he receives his Hogwarts letter on his 11th birthday, entering a world of magic, friendship, and immense adventure. However, lurking in the shadows is a dark connection to his past that Harry must confront.
Produced by Francesca Gardiner and directed by Mark Mylod, the series is made in collaboration with Brontë Film and TV, Warner Bros. Television, and J.K. Rowling herself.
