This May, something truly magical is happening at Tai Kwun’s historic Parade Ground! As part of the 2025 French May Arts Festival, the open-air space will transform into a whimsical stage for Le Bal—a free, family-friendly street performance that brings the elegance and fun of the Belle Époque to life right in the heart of Central.
Created by the talented French performance group Remue Ménage, Le Bal blends music, dance, circus acts, puppetry, and breathtaking costumes into a one-of-a-kind show. Think stilt-walkers, glowing lampshade dresses, horse-drawn carriages, and dancers swirling like they’ve stepped out of a painting by Renoir or Degas.
This enchanting experience is designed for all ages—kids will love the colorful characters and interactive moments, while parents will appreciate the artistry and immersive atmosphere. It’s a great way to introduce children to live performance and the magic of French art.
