Uber has launched its Intercity service, offering a seamless and luxurious way to travel between Hong Kong and Macau. Every ride is an all-limousine experience, perfect for business or leisure travelers seeking comfort and convenience.
This launch also marks Uber’s return to Macau after a hiatus since 2017, providing a much-needed premium transportation option as the city thrives as a global entertainment and tourism hub. Now, when you’re in Macau, you can also order Ubers to get around the city, making travel within the area super easy and convenient.
Rides between Hong Kong and Macau are available exclusively through Uber’s “Reserve” feature, typically requiring booking at least 24 hours in advance (though shorter notice may sometimes be possible) and up to 90 days ahead. Skip the ferry queues and crowded transport—Uber Intercity offers a smooth, hassle-free alternative, while also making it easier than ever to navigate Macau itself.
Pricing and Features
- Fixed Pricing: The app provides a fixed fare at the time of booking. For example, a trip from Hong Kong Island to Macau costs HK$3500. This fare includes all applicable surcharges, such as tunnel tolls and up to 30 minutes of complimentary wait time.
- Currency: Trips departing from Hong Kong are charged in Hong Kong Dollars, while those starting in Macau are charged in Macanese Pataca. Note that foreign transaction fees may apply depending on your card issuer.
- Free Cancellation: You can cancel your trip reservation at any time before receiving your driver’s details.
- Late Cancellation Fee: If you cancel your trip less than 6 hours before the scheduled pickup time after receiving your driver’s details, you may be charged a cancellation fee of up to the full estimated trip fare.

- Open the Uber app and select the “Reserve” feature.
- Enter your pickup and drop-off locations in either Hong Kong or Macau.
- Confirm your booking and lock in the fixed fare.
