always joy sheung wan

ALWAYS JOY, the highly anticipated sister restaurant to the acclaimed Yardbird, has opened its doors on March 25, 2025, right next to Yardbird in Sheung Wan. This new izakaya-style establishment is the latest venture from the dynamic duo of Lindsay Jang and Matt Abergel, co-founders of Yardbird.

While the menu details are still under wraps, food enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting what promises to be an exciting venture, and we can’t wait! Given the pair’s track record with Yardbird, which earned a MICHELIN star, expectations are high for ALWAYS JOY.

For those eager to secure a spot, bookings are now open. Diners can make reservations through the restaurant’s booking platform.

As we await more information on the menu and concept, one thing is certain: ALWAYS JOY is poised to become another standout in Hong Kong’s vibrant culinary scene.

Opening hours: Tuesday – Saturday from 6:00pm – late
