For those looking for green grass, a space for kids to run wild, or a track to walk or run a few laps, head to the field at Happy Valley Racecourse! Open seven days a week to the public, the racecourse is the perfect place to move your legs and get a bit of grass time.
The highlights:
* Run, walk or push your stroller around the jogging track. Made of a special material, the red color track is easy to find and easy on your legs.
* Football time! The kids will get a kick watching the games on the many football fields. There’s also space for kids to kick a ball around near the sidelines, so bring a ball!
* Playground: There’s a pretty nice playground located closer to the grandstand side of the field.
* Pack a picnic! Though shady space is very limited, a picnic under the sun is a nice way to spend the day. Have a seat on the grass, unpack your grub, and let the kids run loose.
Pack your stuff and have some fun in the sun!
