Experience the enchanting Mid-Autumn festivities at Lee Tung Avenue, one of Hong Kong’s most beloved pedestrian streets. This family-friendly destination has prepared a host of exciting activities for everyone to enjoy. Don’t miss the spectacular Moon Fest Lumiere 2025 event, where over 800 colorful Chinese lanterns, including themed lanterns shaped like goldfish adorn the 200-meter-long tree-lined walkway, creating a mesmerizing sight and perfect photo opportunities.
The LED Fire Dragon Fiesta on 6 October 2025 will bring the legendary 18-metre-long LED dragon back to life, showcasing a stunning blend of modern technology and traditional craftsmanship. Organized by Kwok’s Kung Fu & Dragon Lion Dance Team, the fiesta will feature the dragon adorned with multi-coloured LED lights, complemented by dramatic smoke effects and interactive pearl-chasing choreography. Adding to the excitement, LED lions and a drum ensemble will create an electrifying atmosphere of light and sound. The procession begins at 8:30 PM from the Central Piazza, parading along Queen’s Road East to the Johnston Road entrance before returning to the Central Piazza. Along the route, the glowing dragon will engage in lively interactions with lion dancers and the drum team, with scheduled performances immersing spectators in Hong Kong’s intangible cultural heritage. This spectacular event offers a rare opportunity to experience the vibrant energy of a cherished cultural tradition up close.
As part of Moon Fest Lumiere, Lee Tung Avenue offers a variety of other exciting events. Witness the captivating Fire Dragon Dance performances, participate in engaging workshops, explore charity markets, and be delighted by Chinese music performances featuring talented young kids.
