Smoke & Barrel brought the one and only wood-fired smoker (aka “The Beast”) from Missouri to Hong Kong, gathered a dedicated, knowledgeable team, and earned itself the title of epitome authentic old-school smokehouse American BBQ, the first and only of its kind in Hong Kong!

The idea is very much rooted in nostalgia. Co-founder Chris Grare grew up in the States and wanted to revive the BBQ tradition in its full falling-of-the-bone glory in Hong Kong. He has perfected a menu with Head Chef and BBQ master Christopher Tuthill, who has roots in Albuquerque and extensive experience working in Texas, the birthplace of BBQ, and helming the kitchen at the prestigious private club The American Club Hong Kong, among others.
