If you were upset upon hearing the news that Cathay cinemas were moving out of The Cathay, you have a reason to turn that frown upside down. Popular indie cinema brand The Projector is taking over the space with a pop-up concept spanning 4 halls where you can watch mainstream, independent and classic films!
Named after 4 cinemas in Singapore’s history – Majestic, Yangtze, Ruby and Roxy – Project X: Picturehouse combines the magic of film and art for a unique movie date. The halls are screening movies for a limited time, before they will be converted to spaces that will showcase art galleries, cabaret shows and DJ nights for weekend parties.
Besides the cinema halls, guests can also dine at The Picturehouse Bar, which has delights like Sticky Korean Popcorn Chicken, Crispy Shrimp Toasts and Beef Cheek Rendang. Even if you’re not hungry for a meal, you can wind down with a glass of wine, beer or cocktail as a pre-movie drink!
Combining a cinema and a bar, Projector X: Picturehouse is a perfect place for a chill hangout.
Families, couples and fans of indie movies.
Ticket prices start from SG$6.50 for students on weekdays!
