Key Facts & Why It Matters

Breast cancer affects women of all ages, and the number of cases has been rising in Singapore. The good news? More women are catching it early, and survival rates are higher than ever thanks to better screening and treatment. Regular checks and knowing what’s normal for your body make a big difference.

Screening Made Simple

Who Should Get Screened?

  • Ages 50 & above: Go for a mammogram every two years.
  • Ages 40-49: Talk to your doctor about annual screening, especially if you have a family history.

Where To Get Screened:
You can book mammograms at polyclinics, hospitals, and private clinics, or hop on the Community Mammobus that travels to heartland areas.

Why It’s Important:
Mammograms can detect breast cancer before any symptoms show, giving you more treatment options and better outcomes.

Prevention & Healthy Habits
  • Stay Active: Aim for regular exercise to keep your body strong.
  • Eat Well: Include fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
  • Know Your Body: Do regular self-checks to spot any unusual changes.
  • Get Medical Advice Early: If something feels different, don’t wait – get it checked.
