Sardine restaurant is a touch of old Bali in the bustling modern outskirts of the urban Seminyak. There is an emphasis on seafood, with the daily menu changing according to the fresh catch of the day. The Banyuwangi scallops served with Asian salsa are a great savory starter, while the Balinese served Barramundi in banana leaf, is exquisite.
The setting is as picturesque as it gets…emerald rice paddies bordered by whistling, tall bamboo. The baristas are beautifully coiffed oh-so chic, while the bar area is effortlessly cool. Definitely no hippies here. The dining room glows with a sort of cool Bali vibe.
By day, chill out in the loungers, relaxing as a cool breeze flows through the restaurant. At night, the place magically transforms and exudes romance and sophistication. A cascade of intricately decorated Balinese umbrellas and candles flank the stone walls, while stars twinkle off the surrounding water features. Bliss!

The food is divine, the décor is fabulous, and the staff is personal and attentive, but not overly so. Oh, and the desserts are mouthwatering and a bit decadent!
