Looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and head somewhere quiet and green with the kids? Head over to Springleaf Nature Park, recently opened in November at Upper Thomson Road. Run, play, birdwatch, and relax!
The park steers away from the swings and the slides, but instead is a six-hectare green space ideal for cycling, strolling or jogging with the kids. Given its close proximity to the Central Catchment Nature Reserve, the park is a haven for over 80 species of birds. Bring along your binoculars and head to the observation deck, where you may spot the white-throated kingfisher or blue-tailed bee-eater.
A trip to Springleaf Nature Park is an ideal outing for families to enjoy nature! Your kids will get a dose of outdoors education, and you’ll be thankful you made the commute to commune with nature.
