At Autism Partnership (AP), they emphasize the critical importance of starting intensive early intervention as soon as possible. Research consistently shows that high-quality, intensive therapy during early developmental years leads to significantly better outcomes for children with ASD. Unlike many other providers, AP delivers a much higher level of intensity and clinical oversight for ABA therapy.

Why Early & Intensive ABA Matters
AP believes in one simple truth: early, intensive, and quality intervention changes lives. Grounded in decades of research and real-world success, our approach, the Autism Partnership Method (APM) is built around what science shows works best for children with ASD. The goal is to help individuals with ASD thrive.
Start Early
ABA is most effective when started young, ideally between ages 2 to 6 years. In some cases, children at the age of 14 months can start therapy.
Intensity Drives Results
Children receiving 25–30 hours/week of ABA therapy show the strongest improvements in IQ, communication, and daily living skills. Higher-intensity programs lead to better outcomes, especially for children with more language delays.
A landmark study (Howard et al., 2005) compared three groups: Intensive ABA (25–30 hrs/week): made the greatest progress; Eclectic therapy (same hours) made less progress; and low-intensity (5 hrs/week) made the least progress. These gains were sustained over time, reinforcing the need for early, intensive ABA.
A follow-up study (Howard et al., 2014) indicated that results were consistent: children who received intensive ABA continued to outperform those in other groups in cognitive, language, and adaptive domains.
Factors for Achieving the Best Outcomes in ABA
High Treatment Intensity
Around 25–30 hours per week of individualized one-on-one therapy provides the optimal number of learning opportunities for meaningful progress.
Close Clinical Supervision
Experienced clinicians provide ongoing oversight, allowing programs to be closely monitored, adjusted, and optimized in real time.
Parental Involvement
When parents are trained and actively involved, they can support skill development at home and reinforce consistency across environments.
Consistency Across Settings
Skills are most effectively acquired when practiced and reinforced at home, in school, and during therapy sessions.
Individualized Programming
Tailored treatment plans that adapt to each child’s needs and progress ensure therapy remains relevant, effective, and engaging.
These key factors identified in Autism Partnership’s 2011 Outcome Study form the foundation of their distinctive and progressive approach to ABA, the Autism Partnership Method (APM™).

While many therapy providers offer only a few hours per week, Autism Partnership takes a different approach. They strongly emphasize intensive early intervention, recommending 3-hour sessions, twice daily, five days a week. As children grow, the developmental gap between them and their neurotypical peers can widen rapidly. The earlier and more intensively we intervene, the greater the opportunity to close that gap and build a strong foundation for your child’s long-term learning, communication, and independence.
Parents of children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) residing anywhere in the world can access Autism Partnership’s overseas consultation services. AP has offices across Asia, including in Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Seoul, and Manila.
They offer a complimentary consultation and child observation session, along with a guided tour of their center. They understand that receiving an ASD diagnosis can raise many questions and concerns for parents, and they're here to provide clarity and support as you explore the best next steps for your child.
