In celebration of its 30th anniversary, the National Library Board (NLB) has teamed up with Disney and Changi Airport Group to unveil Singapore’s first-ever Star Wars Pop-Up Library—and it’s as epic as it sounds. Running from 6 August 2025 to 24 January 2026, this one-of-a-kind library promises an immersive galactic reading experience at Changi Airport Terminal 3, Level 2, right next to the Skytrain and Jewel linkbridge.

Part of NLB’s LAB25 vision and its ongoing pop-up library series under Nodes, this Star Wars-themed initiative invites readers of all ages—from curious young Padawans to seasoned Jedi Masters—to explore over 2,000 Star Wars books, including 380 specially curated titles by NLB librarians. Expect popular reads like Star Wars: Darth Vader comics, The Mandalorian manga, The High Republic junior novels, and the Thrawn: Ascendancy trilogy.

But it’s not just about books. The space is packed with interactive experiences:
Find Your Jedi Match via a personality quiz
Test Your Galactic Knowledge with a Star Wars trivia challenge
Strike a Pose against iconic franchise backdrops featured on digital screens

Adding to the future-forward vibe, the pop-up features a pilot automated book retrieval and return system, where a robotic arm fetches and shelves books on demand. Visitors can borrow or return books at this location, or even return them at any NLB library islandwide.
