Recent graduate Cindy Toh took a step closer to her dream of entering the field of foreign affairs and law through her time at CIS. Moving away from home aged 15, she found a community in CIS that welcomed and grounded her, and where she could delve deeper into her interests. Cindy will be attending Stanford University to major in International Relations and Economics.

Being in CIS enabled Cindy to pursue her academic interests and musical talents. A classically trained tenor trombone soloist, she took up the role of brass section leader and first trombonist in the CIS Symphonic Band.

Cindy said the school’s vibrant, supportive community ensured she thrived in an increasingly globalized world and prepared her for future endeavors.
