Hong Kong’s Elephant Grounds Arrives In Singapore Opens: Coffee N’ Chill!

The Award-Winning Lifestyle Cafe Brings Its Signature Brews And Famous Ice Cream Sandwiches To Guoco Midtown

Elephant Grounds Singapore Guoco Midtown

Singapore’s vibrant cafe scene is about to get a major upgrade. Elephant Grounds, the iconic Hong Kong-born specialty coffee and lifestyle brand, has opened its doors at Guoco Midtown! Known for its “Coffee n’ Chill” philosophy, the brand bridges the gap between high-end specialty roasting and a relaxed, community-driven atmosphere.

The Elephant Grounds Story: From Micro-Counter to Global Icon

Founded in 2013 by entrepreneurs Kevin Poon and Gerald Li, Elephant Grounds began as a modest coffee counter tucked away in a lifestyle shop in Hong Kong’s Gough Street. Since then, it has blossomed into a regional powerhouse with outposts in Manila, Beijing, and Tokyo.

The Singapore flagship at Guoco Midtown (#01-04) continues the brand’s tradition of creating “urban oases.” Expect a space that blends warm timber aesthetics with lush greenery, designed to be as much a workplace for digital nomads as it is a weekend sanctuary for families and pets.

What to Expect: The Signature Menu

Elephant Grounds is famous for more than just its caffeine. The Singapore menu will feature their most beloved hits, including:

  • Signature Specialty Coffee: Beans roasted in-house, featuring their signature espresso blend (Sumatra, Papua New Guinea, and Brazilian Arabica) and premium single-origin pour-overs.

  • The Famous Ice Cream Sandwiches: Their “calling card”—thick, artisanal ice cream sandwiched between gooey, house-baked cookies. Look out for “The Peanut Gallery” (peanut butter ice cream and strawberry jam) and rotating weekly specials.

  • Asian-Infused Brunch: Savory highlights include the Miso-Glazed Salmon Donburi, Bacon Jam Grilled Cheese, and their signature Acai Yogurt Bowls.

  • Fresh Bakery Goods: A daily selection of artisanal pastries, from buttery croissants to their viral cruffins.

A New Chapter at Guoco Midtown

The choice of Guoco Midtown as the first Singapore location is no coincidence. Situated in the heart of the Beach Road-Bugis district, the new outlet aims to serve the neighborhood’s “ecology”—providing a seamless transition from morning meetings to evening social hours.

Whether you are a coffee connoisseur or an ice cream lover, mark your calendars for Saturday, 10 January 2026. The arrival of Elephant Grounds marks a new era for Singapore’s brunch culture, proving that coffee isn’t just a caffeine supplement—it’s an art form.
