Shanghai is gearing up to unveil an exciting new destination for families and theme park enthusiasts: LEGOLAND® Shanghai Resort, opening on July 5, 2025. Set to be the largest LEGOLAND® in the world at launch, the 318,000-square-meter resort in Fengjing Town, Jinshan District, promises unforgettable experiences for families with children aged two to twelve. Featuring eight themed lands, over 75 interactive rides, shows, and attractions, and thousands of LEGO® models built with more than 85 million bricks, the park is a celebration of creativity and fun. Guests can also enjoy a stay at the dedicated LEGOLAND® Hotel, ensuring a fully immersive experience.
The resort will include exciting new features tailored to the Chinese market, such as Monkie Kid® attractions inspired by the legendary Chinese tale, themed food and beverages, and a unique Watertown LEGO® ride that brings the charm of traditional Chinese water towns to life.
Conveniently located about an hour’s drive from downtown Shanghai, the resort is easily accessible for both local and international visitors. Families from Hong Kong will find it especially appealing, with frequent direct flights to Shanghai and an 18-minute high-speed train ride from Shanghai Hongqiao to Jinshanbei Railway Station, followed by a short walk to the park. As construction wraps up and all 24 core rides undergo final testing, anticipation is building for what promises to be a premier family destination in Asia.
