The Mid-Autumn Festival is just around the corner, and kids can learn how to make a set of unconventional mooncakes at Little Cookhouse!
Little Cookhouse is a kids’ baking studio with a Montessori-based bake+cook enrichment program, and they believe in hands-on and collaborative learning for kids. Each participant gets to make six different designs of sushi mooncakes, served in a Japanese bento box. They’ll create the snowskin dough from scratch, wrap the lotus filling in dough skin and also learn how to shape and assemble their sushi mooncakes. The kiddos can then bring their finished products home to share with family!
The class costs SG$55 per participant, and is being held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 10:30am to 12pm. Currently, classes at Little Cookhouse are limited to a maximum of five participants per session.
The workshop is suitable for children aged 3 to 12 years old. Children below 6 years old should be accompanied by an adult. However, due to the ongoing safe distancing measures, parents will be updated if this is possible depending on the number of sign-ups for the session. Booking of the session needs to be made at least one day in advance so that the required ingredients can be prepared.
If you can’t make it for the class, fret not, because Little Cookhouse also has a non-bake take-home kit of their sushi mooncakes!
