Lantern Walk, Bazaar, Light Up @ Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival

Head on down to Chinatown to commemorate Singapore Bicentennial and celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival at the same time! Bask in Chinese traditions and heritage through traditional dishes, costume booth, fortune telling, face threading, and calligraphy. Other mid-autumn activities such as lantern painting competition, festive trade fair, food stalls, and also the annual mass lantern walk!

Mid-Autumn Festival @ Gardens By The Bay

This year, head over to the Gardens to enjoy spectacular lantern sets depicting stories of rich tradition and heritage. Don’t miss out on the tallest and widest ever display of floating lanterns stretching over 120m also take a stroll within the very first giant revolving lantern! In the midst of the Supertree Grove, the center stage will showcase the life, vigor and diversity of traditional arts, including innovative interpretations and cross-over performances by the Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre.

Moonfest 2019 At Esplanade

Presented by Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, Moonfest – A Mid-Autumn Celebration showcases some of the very best traditional Chinese arts by Singapore and overseas artists and companies. This 15th edition of Moonfest is even more accessible, especially for families and the younger generation to encounter the beauty of traditional Chinese arts. Moonfest will feature more than 60 top-notch free performances and activities including xiqu (Chinese opera), dance, music, shadow puppetry, crosstalk, lantern riddles, and more.

Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival

Organized by Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall, Wan Qing Mid-Autumn Festival is an annual cultural event for the community to discover and experience the customs and traditions observed during the celebrations. This year’s festival presents an exciting weekend of offerings suitable for the young and the young at heart, including heritage trails around the Balestier precinct, guided tours of the museum’s galleries, mooncake tasting, lantern-making workshops, storytelling of Mid-Autumn tales, alfresco concert performances, and more.

When: September 7-8, 2019.

Whimsical Journey Of Lights At VivoCity

Inspired by the tales of Alice in Wonderland, this Mid-Autumn, VivoCity’s rooftop Sky Park has been transformed into a wondrous lantern display, These large-scale, colorful handcrafted lanterns measure up to 10m tall and will light up against the night sky to create the perfect backdrop for a memorable Mid-Autumn reunion with the whole fam!
