Choo, Choo! The Orient Express slot is fast approaching to Singapore and for the first time ever, to a country outside of France. Starring the popular long-distance train service in all its glory, our very own Gardens by the Bay will play host to the pop-up attraction. Titled Once Upon a Time on the Orient Express, the six-month-long exhibition presents “a fairytale universe related to travel, culture and gastronomy” which will dive into its rich heritage and incredible legacy. It’s like taking a step back in time to uncover history.
Visitors will discover two original 1930 train carriages and a 158-year-old locomotive have been restored to their former glory and will be shipped from France. From the trains guests will immerse themselves in a larger than life world of artifacts, interactive displays and historical facts that explain the astonishing dream and journey of the Orient Express from Europe to the Orient. See uniforms, shields, a sleeping car, affiches, Louis Vuitton original luggage used back in time, priceless porcelain, and much, much more, original piece of the carriage exhibited in big blue trunks. History never sounded so good!
