Saturday’s Surprisingly Super-Duper Lesson Hosted By SSO

Saturday’s Surprisingly Super-Duper Lesson is a program designed for youngsters and adapted from a local storybook. Authored by Jolene Tan and illustrated by Isabella Tong, learn a good life lesson that comes in the form of creativity, and the power of art and imagination to counter boredom.

It tells the story of Aish, who’s cooped up in a classroom doing a maths problem and listening to Mr. Firdaus drone on about equations and numerals. But as with every problem, it’s not long before a solution presents itself to her, taking the form of a multicolored pencil that brings her doodles to life. Naturally, plenty of fun ensues through extraordinary creations! Saturday’s lesson doesn’t seem so boring after all.

This specially tailored concert will introduce children to classical music through storytelling, keeping them engaged with narration, illustration, animation, and music performed by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. This concert will feature selections of music by the great composers, including the symphonies of Beethoven, Mahler, Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky, Grieg’s Morning Mood, Holst’s The Planets, and other popular works by Mozart and Richard Strauss.

Recommended for children aged 4 and above.

Tickets: SG$20 per pax. Available HERE
