Children are born scientists. They're always experimenting with something, whether they're throwing a plate of spaghetti on the wall, blowing bubbles in the bathwater, or stacking blocks into an intricate tower only to destroy it in one big swipe. The cool thing about science is that it describes what's happening all around us, all the time. Sometimes, though, kids find it hard to connect what they know about science to the real world. But relax, we have DNA Learning Lab at Science Centre Singapore!

Opened 17 years ago, students and the public can now engage in unraveling the secrets of life with the launch of the DNA Learning Lab. Be sure to catch their weekly Science o’Clock which features instructional videos with an easy to follow, step-by-step guide for children primary school children, accompanied by adult supervision. In the previous sessions of Science o’Clock, some of the topics explored includes the process of making honey, effects of pressure when we reach 10 metres under the surface, proving whether or not there is iron in a box of cereal and even simple but fun forensic techniques. Who knows, mom and dad may end up learning a new thing or two, too.
