Saturdays At ACM
A Style For Every Story

[email protected] is a family-friendly program on the last Saturday of every month at the Asian Civilisations Museum. Enjoy creative, hands-on activities, interactive performances and drama, and storytelling in the museum’s galleries. Each month features a different theme – learn tales behind the popular cultural festival, embark on a journey across ancient civilisations, and make your masterpiece inspired by thousand-year old artworks.

This month, discover different styles of traditional outfits in ACM's collection. Download the templates provided and follow the video tutorial to create outfits for a paper doll. Then listen to an Asian twist of “The Empress' New Clothes” in an audio storytelling.

Suitable for ages 5 to 10 years old. [email protected] is supported by UOL.

Audio storytelling by ACT 3 International

Find out which outfit the Chinese empress chose to wear for her birthday celebrations, and how four mythical dragons became four rivers in China.

Suitable for ages 4 to 8.

Make your own rotating costume toy by Lollibox

Download the craft templates to decorate and create your own toy. Inspired by the traditional costumes in ACM’s collection, mix and match different costumes with your toy. Don’t forget to share your creations with @ACM_SG!

Suitable for ages 5 to 10, with parental guidance.
