Canvass partners with COMO Shambhala, in a collaborative project titled ‘Caring for Our Future Together’. This is a meaningful campaign promoting awareness for Singapore’s wildlife, while at the same time teaching children empathy and how to empower wellbeing.
This campaign will showcase more than 40 artworks at Atrium in Forum The Shopping Mall. 15 artworks are selected for the Charity Art Auction on April 17, at the Suntec Convention Hall. Local artists and social influencers like Claire Jedrek, a female race car driver, and MediaCorp artists like He Ying Ying who are all animal lovers, will donate their artworks for charity. All net proceeds will be donated to ACRES wildlife trust.
The children who created these vivid artworks went through a strong curriculum that focuses on movement, mindfulness, and art. Through these pillars, children develop empathy while learning how to creatively express their own thoughts and needs. In Caring For Our Future Together, the kids learned about the plight of the animals, did an in-depth reflection on how these animals may feel, before expressing meaning through artwork.
The artworks will also be available for viewing online at http://caringforourfuturetogether.com/ from 13 March 2022. The auction will be led by professional auctioneer Sean McEwan.
