Bilingual learning is one very hot topic in Singapore and globally! Parents are looking for an immersive experience that will go beyond their learning? This is what Singapore American School aims to achieve with its Chinese Immersion Program. The first such program was launched for their kindergarten community in 2017-2018 and is made to roll forward each academic year through fifth grade by 2022-23. As a part of this program, the students work toward fluency while excelling academically. Genius - we think so!

So make the most out of this opportunity and join the Chinese Immersive Open Morning on January 31, 2020, and February 28, 2020. Reserve your slot now by clicking here or dropping an email to [email protected]

How does it work?

* This immersion program aims to provide ample language opportunities for kids to help them become global citizens.

* They follow a 75/25 model, which means children (mostly non-native Chinese speakers) take their core classes in English (music, art, PE, etc.), and the remainder is instructed in Chinese.

* All Chinese teachers are native Chinese speakers.

* There is a strong focus on cultural competency - a big perk for bilingual children.

In an attempt to put their message more vividly, the school is organizing two Chinese Immersion Open Mornings on January 31, 2020, and February 28, 2020. This is an opportunity for the parents to interact with the Director of World Languages of the school and learn more about the curriculum perspective of the program.
