When you start to see mooncakes and colorful lanterns showing up all over malls and markets, you'll know that the Mid Autumn Winter Festival is almost here. This harvest festival is typically celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar by the Chinese community, which falls on October 1st this year. Family members will gather on this day to eat mooncakes, while kids will light up the sky with colorful lanterns as they celebrate family reunion and togetherness. While this year is much different, with MCO still in effect and social distancing the new norm, there's still a few celebrations happening around Kuala Lumpur. Here, we've listed a number of activities and events taking place around the city so you can be a part of this charming festive occasion.
