Ocean Park Hong Kong Launches Must-See Exhibit For Anime Fans

To celebrate legendary Japanese mechanical designer Okawar Kunio’s – also known as the Father Of Gundam’s – 50th Anniversary, Ocean Park Hong Kong launches a must-see exhibition for all anime and mecha fans!
Between 1 April and 4 June 2023, the mecha exhibition will feature Kunio’s many ground-breaking mechanical designs, like the classic Yatterman and King of Braves GAOGAIGAR to the Mobile Suit Gundam series – a worldwide cultural icon, and many other pioneering anime works.
Explore giant figures, like the much-loved RX-78-2 Gundam and MS-06F Zaku II, and newer characters as well as an extensive collection of never-before-seen art and documents at Okawara Kunio Mech Design Base and discover Kunio’s creative process.
Don’t forget to drop by the Father of Gundam limited-time store, where some essential and exclusive mecha-themed merchandise, including figures, skateboards, towels, badges and more will be available for purchase.
