International Arts Carnival
Carnival Of Films, Shows, & Interactive Activities!

The International Arts Carnival is back to provide summer entertainment for the kids. With performances from artists all over the world, the carnival is one that will allow you to experience all kinds of art in one city without having to travel to a dozen different countries. The performances are categorized into film, stage, library, and museum programs, and we've compiled the top picks for kids!

Top 5 shows (in English)

1. The Little Mermaid is a fantastic theatrical retelling of the classic fairytale performed by a troupe from the Netherlands.

2. The Heart of Robin Hood is a theatre piece based on the famous English folk story about an adventurous outlaw.

3. The Very Hungry Caterpillar & Other Eric Carle Favourites is a performance based on the widely popular Eric Carle children's' books.

4. The Odyssey of Little Dragon is a dance theatre performance about the martial arts of Kung Fu.

5. Myriads of Worlds is a soothing and aesthetically pleasing opera for 3 to 18-month-olds and their parents only.

1. Maya the Bee — The Honey Games is a film in English about a bee that accidentally offends the bee Empress.

2. Little Miss Dolittle is a German film with English subtitles about a troublesome girl who can speak with animals!

3. JerryMaya's Detective Agency - The First Mystery is a Swedish film with English subtitles that follows the mystery of a missing book.

4. Help, I Shrunk My Parents is an action-packed German film with English subtitles.

5. Marnie's World is a 3D animation in English about a spoiled house cat.

1. The Amazing Coin Press Workshop at the Hong Kong Museum of History is for people of all ages!

2. The Joy of Country Cooking at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum is for children ages 4 to 8 and is located at the Children's Discovery Gallery.

3. Small Toys, Big Deal is also at the Hong Kong Heritage Museum and for children ages 4 to 8. This one is located at the Education Studio.

4. The Paper Armament Model-making Workshops will take place at the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defense for children ages 5 to 10. Parents will be welcome.

5. Story-telling Workshops for Children Weapons Theatre: The Story of Hong Kong Coastal Defence is also at the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defense for children ages 5 to 10. Parents are also welcome here.
