This summer, the Metropolis Museum is offering a unique Mandarin Summer Camp that covers all the bases. They offer a variety of workshops and activities which help children to develop Mandarin conversation skills, Chinese characters' vocabulary pool, and a more in-depth understanding of the meaning behind Chinese words and sentences.

Kids can choose between different themes such as:


Exploring and experiencing different art mediums and art forms. 

Includes: Watercolor, Acrylic paint, Diverse Arts and Crafts, Digital Media, Pottery, Seal carving, Chinese Calligraphy, Ink Painting, etc.


Gaining basic science knowledge via a variety of fun science experiments.

Includes: Experiments, Microscopes, all about the Living, etc.

Yoga & Much More

Practicing basic posture, motion.

Includes: Kung Fu, Yoga, Hip Hop, Wet Play, Cooking, Planting, etc.


Beach: Games and sea activities

Ball sports: football, beach volleyball, pétanque.

Sea Fun: They understand that not all the kids are expert swimmers and may even be a little nervous around the water, their dedicated team of staff is on hand to make sure everyone has a safe enjoyable experience. Life vests are MANDATORY.

Nature: Exploring the Wilderness

Campers go on the marked trails with their tutors. In the Aberdeen area, paths are waiting to take campers to the heart of nature. Each skill level is welcome to go hiking.

This is the perfect way to introduce children to traditional camp experiences during the day and return home at night. Dates for camps June 29 - August 24, 2020.
