We’re going the distance! Just when you thought flying a budget airline meant taking “the poor man’s flight”, Singapore’s newest long-haul value airline, Scoot, is set to fly to destinations such as Australia, China, Japan, New Zealand, India and Europe starting mid-2012 with lots of extras.
Wi-fi when you’re sky high? Done. The luxury budget airline plans to connect fun and wired young-at-heart travellers itching for a fix (at a small fee). To further pamper the pauper, two cabin classes (we’re guessing “Better” and “Best” Class) will be available to choose from.
Rumored to offer Singapore Airline’s great service at discounts of 40%, Scoot is poised to become the funny honey of the skies. But get set to sweat over competing for the inaugural fares once they’re available for purchase next month, as Scoot launches four planes this year, expanding to a fleet of 14 by 2015.
