Kayak, stroll, picnic...yes, please!  For a relaxing day out, head to greener pastures at MacRitchie Reservoir Park.  So close to home, yet it feels a world away, this outing offers something for everyone!

The highlights:

Rent a kayak!  Cruise around the calm water by boat.  Note, wee ones are allowed to sit in mom or dad’s lap and enjoy the adventure.  Advanced kiddos can join a team and compete in races or join the Kayaking Orientation Program.

Stroll on the path along the water’s edge.  It’s perfect for strollers, scooters, and slow movers.

Hike the many well-marked paths.  More advanced hikers will enjoy the Treetop Walk!  Click here for the trail map.

Tree enthusiasts should check out the 90-minute guided tree walk on the last Saturday of the month (check the website to confirm dates).  Learn all about the trees and botanical wonders!

Bird watchers, bring your binoculars!  There are loads of cheerful chirpers.

Pack a picnic, pull out a blanket, and enjoy the green views and calming scenery!  The kids will have a blast running around the green grass.  There’s also a basic food kiosk to buy drinks and simple snacks.
