They say a little competition is healthy…so get the little tykes’ heart rates pumping with the annual Splash n’ Dash Aquathon Series held in May and June 2012 at Repulse Bay and South Bay. It's actually mostly a race for adults, but they kick off the competition with a kids section for kids 8 to 15 years old. Register before May 2012.
The Hong Kong Amateur Swimming Association covers anything under the water! It has courses and options for swimming, diving, water polo, synchronized swimming, open water swimming and masters competitions and activities for teens and adults. Break out your goggles and put on your competitive cap!

‘Aquabub’ offers courses for babes from 18 months, and Aquatots teaches those at 36 months. Tadpoles, Frogs and Goldfish groups cater to the 3-5 year olds and then there are Dophins, Stingrays, Seals and Swordfish for the older kids, making use of fun and games as well as more traditional methods of teaching. FLOAT+ offers two certificate programs. The Challenge Award certificate teaches technique for all levels except for Waterbabies. The P.A.S.S. (Pool and Survival Skills) program is all about water safety and survival skills for kids ages 2 to 8 years old. They'll learn what to do in case of an accident, ie floating and treading water.
