This summer is going to be different. Social distancing orders might have relaxed in the 852 but COVID-induced hibernation is here to stay. Even though we’ve never needed a holiday more, travel restrictions and compulsory quarantine mean that most of us will be frazzled in the sweltering heat of Hong Kong for a long, long time.

If you’re on the hunt for family activities to salvage the summer, Outward Bound, a non-profit established in 1970 in Hong Kong, and a pioneer in outdoor adventure learning might just be the novelty you’re looking for.

As the name suggests, Outward Bound offers exciting camping fun packages for your kids, it promises to be a glorious time of learning integral life skills and letting them experience the first whiff of freedom. All in the great outdoors of Hong Kong.

The Discovery Course of 5 days and 4 nights for children entering secondary school will push the limits of 9 to 11-year-olds and prep them with the wings to fly in their teenage years. The Adventure Expedition targeting 15 to 17-year-olds will have teens paddling across islands in Sai Kung, going through canoes all whilst picking up leadership and team-building qualities.

Now, if we’ve got you moms and pops reminiscing about your days of the yore at a summer camp, there’s good news – you don’t have to be a kid anymore to enjoy an adventure package with Outward Bound! The coaches here often take on corporate team building packages and there’s something for everyone from 9 to 99 years of age to enjoy.
